Alaska Climate Webinar Series — Our flagship webinar series has provided monthly opportunities to promote dialog and information exchange among scientists, climate service providers, and decision makers statewide since 2007. Presented on a wide variety of Alaska climate-related topics, webinars consist of 30-40 minutes of presentation followed by discussion and questions from participants. Available online or in person in Room 407 in the Akasofu Building on UAF's Fairbanks campus.
Monthly NWS Alaska Climate Outlook Briefings — Join ACCAP Climate Specialist Rick Thoman for these monthly climate outlooks for Alaska. In addition to reviewing recent climate conditions around the state, Rick presents a "Feature-of-the-Month" in which he highlights an interesting climate topic or anomaly. He also present the Climate Prediction Center's forecast for the next few months. Feel free to bring your lunch and join the gathering online or in person in Room 407 in the Akasofu Building on UAF's Fairbanks campus.
Virtual Alaska Weather Symposia — ACCAP and the Geographic Information Network of Alaska (GINA) have created this webinar series with the National Weather Service (NWS). Our goal is to bring cutting edge satellite based presentations to a broad statewide audience, while avoiding the costs of an in-person symposium. The partnership leverages ACCAP’s webinar infrastructure and list serve, and complements GINA’s and NWS’s deep pool of potential speakers and topics. Available online or in person in Room 407 in the Akasofu Building on UAF's Fairbanks campus.
