Warmest Month of Record at Tanana

The average temperature at Tanana in July was a stunning 65.8°F (18.8°C), making this the warmest month of record at the Yukon River community. The last warmest month record was set way back in 1904, when the month's average was 65.2°F (18.4°C). Climate observations have been made at Tanana, with a few breaks, since late 1902. The Alaska Dispatch noted that Tanana was one of "3 Interior Alaska towns [that] just had their warmest month on record."
